This doc describes steps to start using EPICA clusters as Facebook Custom Audiences.
Set up clusters synchronization with Facebook
- First of all, ensure the correct order of pixels. Facebook pixel should go before EPICA pixel. This is required because epica.js will use Facebook API to send Facebook Custom Event.
- Contact you EPICA Client Partner to enable EPICA integration with Facebook.
- Once the integration is enabled you can use Facebook Pixel Helper to check that it works correctly:
You can see in this example that the Facebook pixel installation is right, standard event PageView is fired but there is an error with firing our custom
AudienceMatchingevent. The pixel helper provides some help regarding the source of the issue so you have to ensure the event is fired properly. In most cases, the problem is around the order of pixels and their initialization.
- Optionally you could check a few things on the other side of the wall, too. If you see everything is fine on the client side it is really not required. If you have the proper permission you can check things on Facebook Business Manager. The analytics show how many
AudienceMatchingevents you have received:
Create a Facebook Custom Audience based on EPICA clusters
Custom "AudienceMatching" events are sent with a list of clusters in "clusters" field. Based on these data Facebook Custom Audience can be created with a rule "Parameter 'clusters' contains" and a list of clusters ID's:
You can find cluster IDs in EPICA UI.
